We’re excited to share that the “Reviving Lumëbardhi: The Kotradiq Dam Removal Initiative” is now officially part of the Open Rivers Programme project map!
Led by ECOPANA, this initiative aims to restore the natural flow of the Lumëbardhi River in Deçan by removing an obsolete dam that obstructs fish migration and has negative ecological impacts.
With this project:
– We enhance the chances of biodiversity returning to the river
– We promote the natural restoration of aquatic ecosystems
– We create a model for sustainable river management in Kosovo
